Riders will be started at intervals in small groups from approx 9am. Requests for specific start times (such as an early start if you are intending to take it slowly) will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.

Please do not set up your own sponsorship pages as not all money may be received by Cancer Research UK due to admin fees. Full details will be emailed to riders.

Riders under 16 yrs must be accompanied by an adult. No lead rein riders.

Entries in advance only. You can book using our Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Maidstone & District Riding Club.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.
Online entry fee £21/rider plus minimum of £15 sponsorship/rider to be paid on the day
100% of entry fees & sponsorship go to Cancer Research UK

Special Classes

There will be rosettes for all riders, prizes for the pinkest horse and rider combinations and a bottle of pink fizz to all riders raising over £100 sponsorship!

Withdrawals/Refunds

In the event of the ride being cancelled/date changed, the entry fee will be donated to Cancer Research UK. No refunds will be given.

Terms & Conditions

The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health & safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid & prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser, officials and stewards.
• The access to and from the site must remain safe and unobstructed. Emergency services must have access to all parts of the event site at all times and members of the public must not park vehicles so as to obstruct access.
• First aid points will be clearly marked. In the case of an emergency, members of the public should contact the nearest official or dial 999.
• Horses can easily be frightened and can be dangerous. Members of the public are requested to keep clear from horse areas/lanes and to avoid behaviour that might alarm horses.
• Dogs should be kept under close control and on a short lead. The Dangerous Dogs Act (2014) covers private land.
• Riders must keep to marked route and obey instructions from organisers and stewards.
• British Standard hard hats conforming to BRC standards as laid out in the 2025 rule book https://www.bhs.org.uk/british-riding-clubs/brc-handbook/ must be worn at all times when mounted. Correct footwear to be used when riding. Back protectors/air jackets may be worn if the rider chooses and should be Level 3 with a blue BETA 2018 label.
• The route will be checked for potential hazards such as rabbit holes and every effort will be made to clearly mark these, but riders are reminded to be aware.
• No vehicles, dogs or pedestrians are allowed on the marked route.
• No stallions. Horses/ponies must be over age of 4 to take part in the ride.
• Any rider misusing spurs/whips will be asked to leave.
• Riders are expected to respect others on the ride. Any riders behaving in such a way as to endanger themselves, their horses or other riders will be asked to leave.
• No lungeing in the parking area.
• No horse must be left tied to the outside of a lorry or trailer
• Riders under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. No lead rein riders.
• Road crossings will be manned, and first aiders will be in attendance on the day.
• M&DRC has taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health & safety of everyone present, but riders are reminded that riding is a high risk sport and all activities are undertaken at the rider’s risk. Riders MUST have, as a minimum, public liability insurance for themselves and their horse. M&DRC do not accept liability for any accident/injury to riders, spectators, horses or property.
