Sunshine Tour Championships

 

The All-England Showground, Hickstead

Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th September 2025

This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The All-England Showground, Hickstead from Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th September 2024. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.0m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more, Eventer’s Challenge from 50cm through to 90cm.

Qualification: Dressage & Show Jumping 1st – 3rd place; Showing & Eventers Challenge 1st – 4th place. 

Registration of qualification must be completed within 1 month of competition (sooner for late July shows). Restrictions apply to both horse and competitor’s previous winnings and amateur status, please check the website for Terms & Conditions.

All competitors will be required to wear their allocated numbers , There is no access to any arena unless riders are wearing their number which can be worn on the rider, saddle cloth or bridle and must be supplied by the competitor . We will no longer have any numbers onsite .

Entries close a week before possible late entries on the Wednesday morning before the show date unless classes are oversubscibed, in which event classes will close prior to the close of entries.

 In the event of cancellation riders will be offered to transfer to a future event or have their entry fee on hold for future use. Any refund issued will be done so minus the booking fee.

Withdrawals/Refunds

No refunds or rollovers will be offered for withdrawals made after the closing date. Prior to closing date we may transfer to a future event.

. In the event of cancellation riders will be offered to transfer to a future event or have their entry fee on hold for future use. Any refund issued will be done so minus the booking fee. 

Terms & Conditions

The competition will be judged in accordance with British Showjumping and Sunshine Tour rules.

Please be aware you will need to register for Sunshine Tour within a month of qualification  www.sunshinetour.co.uk 

All competitors must wear their allocated number including for clear round classes .
Horses and ponies may be entered in to a maximum of 3 classes,
The judge’s decision is final.

We do not charge an additonal fee for first aid , however there will be an appointed first aider onsite. Should a rider fall off during the warm up or competition they must report to the first aider to be assessed before competing. For any head injury you will be asked to seek immediate medical advice and will not be able to continue in the competition and will forfeit entry fee accordingly.


All horses/ponies must be fully vaccinated against Equine Influenza and received a booster within 12 months of the show date. Horse vaccination records may be checked on arrival.
Competitors, spectators and visitors must follow instructions of all officials, including parking attendants. This includes vehicular entry and exit from the showground. Non-compliance will result in eviction from the showground.
The main gate to the road must be kept closed at all times. No tying up of horses to lorries/trailers 
All droppings, hay and rubbish must be cleared up from the parking areas.


Competitors and grooms are the only pedestrians permitted in the lorry park. All other pedestrians must park in the car park and use the pedestrian walkway to the viewing galleries.
Smoking is only permitted in the designated areas.
Dogs must be kept on a lead and are only permitted in the parking areas.
Maximum of 8 horses in the warm up arena at any one time. Lungeing is not permitted. Normal school rules apply.
No pedestrians in the warm up arena with the exception of those assisting with lead rein. A CWA steward will alter the jumps in the warm up where possible.


No refunds or rollovers will be offered for withdrawals made after the closing date.
Classes will not begin before 8:30am and will finish before 8:00pm. 
Stallions are permitted providing they are kept under control and wear a tail ribbon and bridle disc on both sides. No tying up of stallions outside, including outside lorries, horseboxes etc. No non competing horses or ponys on site. 
Please plan to arrive at the showground no longer than 60 minutes before your first round time and leave after the prize giving.


This is a friendly venue; please be respectful to staff, officials and fellow competitors, we operate a zero tolerance to any verbal abuse to any steward or official and offenders will be asked to leave the premises.
