Show Information

A relaxed but efficiently run event for competitors to gain experience or compete young horses in a competition environment. The jumping classes include several full up height jumps and then straight onto cross country fences, which include a water complex, ditch, and a good selection of natural jumps.

Refreshments & toilets available on site
Paramedics will be in attendance.

Entries will close one week before the event or sooner if we have reached capacity.  Once closed we open a wait list and refunds will only be made if we can fill your space from the wait list.  This will be subject to a £5 admin fee.

Where possible please arrive via the A46 to avoid to much traffic through the village. The event can be accessed via the second entrance, just before the village. The driveway is next to a house called Keepers Cottage, on the left hand This will be clearly signposted on the day. Parking will be at the side of the cross country course.

You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

£32.50 entry fee. £5 first aid fee

 Prizes for each class, and rosettes to 6th place

Withdrawals/Refunds

Any withdrawals before the close of the entries will be refunded or transferred to another date. If withdrawn after the closing date, no refund will be made unless we can fill the space from the waitlist but will be subject to a £5 admin charge.

Terms & Conditions

Riding hats with chin strap fastening must be worn at all times when mounted. Hats must comply with BE hat rules. Body protectors (2018 standard) must be worn for the jumping classes.

There will be an optimum time for each jumping class, placings will be decided on a nearest the optimum time basis.

Any objections must be made within 30 minutes of completion of the class, accompanied by a £15 deposit.

Norton Events has the right to amalgamate classes if insufficient entries received. Horses and Ponies must be 4 years and over.

Legal Liability
For death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event, nor any agent, employee or representative of the organiser, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

Health & Safety
The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials and stewards.

Norton Events Waiver & Release of Liability Form (Assumption of Risks, Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims & Indemnity Agreement) Norton Events By entering online you will waive certain legal rights, including the right to sue: On my behalf and on behalf of any minor children participating in these activities, for whom I am legally responsible I agree to the following:
Assumption of Risks
I am aware and understand that activities involving horses involve many risks, dangers and hazards, including but not limited to the following:
1) Horses, which are powerful and potentially dangerous animals, may change their behaviour at any time and may without warning, jump, run wildly, buck, kick, bite or step on people or things;
2) Horses may collide with other horses or objects or trip, stumble, or fall even if being led, ridden or attended to;
3) Negligence, which means in general terms, a failure to exercise ordinary or proper care, or other riders or my child’s own failure to ride safely, within my or my child’s ability or within designated areas;
4) Equipment may fail;
5) Weather conditions can change and sometimes may be dangerous;
6) Negligence on the part of A PROPERTY OWNER AND/OR THE PROVIDER OF THEIR STAFF.
I am also aware that the risks, dangers and hazards referred to above exist throughout the grounds of Norton Events and many are unmarked. I understand and acknowledge that no amount of caution, experience or instruction can eliminate all of the risks involved and I freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers and hazards and the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage and damages of loss resulting there-from.

Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims & Indemnity Agreement
In consideration of the provider providing me or my child with their services and permitting me or my child’s use of their Property, Facilities and other Equipment (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the services”), I hereby agree as follows:
1) TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS that I or my child have or may have in the future against Norton Events and their directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives and volunteers (all of whom are hereinafter collectively referred to as the “RELEASEES”) and to release the Releasees from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury or expense that I or my child may suffer, or that my or my child’s next of kin may suffer as a result of mine or my child’s use of the Services or due to any cause whatsoever, INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, BREECH OF CONTRACT, OR BREECH OF ANY STATUTORY OR OTHER DUTY OF CARE ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES;
2) TO HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY THE RELEASEES from any and all liability for any damage to the property of or personal injury to any third party resulting from mine or my child’s use of services;
3) This Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my or my child’s heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns and representatives in the event of my or my child’s death or incapacity;
4) This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS AGREEMENT, AND I AM AWARE THAT BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH I OR MY CHILD, OR MY HEIRS, NEXT OF KIN, EXECUTORS, ADMINISTRATORS AND ASSIGNS MAY HAVE AGAINST THE RELEASEES.
