Rules of Arena Eventing Course use
• Please arrive no more than 20 mins before the start of your session and leave within 20 mins after you session ends. This is to help us ensure no one meets another lorry / trailer on Fernden Lane coming the other way.
• No need to ring the bell when you arrive at the gates. Pull the metal slider across to open the gates. Please pin back the gates to prevent them blowing shut as you come through. The car park is directly in front of you.
• Please do not hang hay nets up outside trailers / lorries.
• Dogs on leads at all times & please pick up any poos.
• Please check that all poles and jump cups are off the ground when you finish.
• Please report any damages / breakages at the end of your session, so we can ensure the safety
• Please remove any droppings from the car park, arena & XC track.
• At busy times we may need to operate a one way route to ensure no one meets an arriving or leaving meets on the lane. We have some printed maps for the alternative exit route. Please check before you leave if you will need to exit left or right.
• No mucking out lorries or trailers anywhere on site and please clear up any poo in the lorry park if needed
• All droppings must be picked up from the arena and car park or incur a £5 fine
• Please do not tie up outside horseboxes
• Any damage to equipment must be reported & will be charged
• When you arrive on site please park in the car park and do not venture into other areas of the yard.
• Transport and equipment is brought to site entirely at the owner's risk.
• Please bring adequate provisions of food and water for humans and horses.
• You ride at your own risk and helmets must be worn.
• Please make sure you have the appropriate public liability insurance in place.
• Please leave the jumps as you find them, and ensure no poles are left on the ground
• Strictly NO LUNGING
• Muck must be removed from arena as soon as feasible. There is a muck skip and wheelbarrow by the side of the school

Castle Copse Arena Eventing Disclaimer
By submitting a booking for Arena Eventing, you are accepting that you ride the Arena Eventing Course entirely at your own risk and accept that no liability or blame will be attached to the organisers (Castle Copse Equestrian) or landowners (Selene Regan & Gordon Knight). The hirer accepts that by submitting a booking for Arena Eventing course hire these conditions become the basis of a contract between, the Event organisers and landowners and agree to comply entirely with the rules set by the Event organisers whilst using the Arena Eventing Course.
Our Arena Eventing course is available to hire for a minimum hire time of 30 minutes. There is a maximum of 4no. horses permitted on the course during any one hire session
Use of the course is entirely at the hirer’s own risk
Use of the course must be done so in a controlled manner, respecting the take-off and landing areas, and general ground condition. We reserve the right to request anyone stop using the course immediately if we feel they are doing so in an uncontrolled or dangerous manner and in such cases no refunds shall be given
For biosecurity measures, at no time must you enter the stable barns or other restricted areas. Please do not make contact with any of the other horses whilst at the premises.
The hirer must ensure that all animals engaged in the event or permitted to attend are in good health and are up to date with vaccinations (for example: flu & tetanus).
The hirer will leave the facilities in a clean and tidy state. Please park your vehicles considerately and be aware of access and other users of the facilities. Please clear up any droppings, or bedding from the car park or lorry park, as well as any litter, and take these away with you
If there are any breakages, damage or concerns about the facilities during your period of hire, we must be notified immediately. Any damage or breakages caused to the property or equipment shall be charged to the hirer at the new replacement value plus any carriage costs.
The Arena Eventing fences are NOT ground anchored and hire of the Arena Eventing course is at the hirer’s own risk.
The Event organiser and landowner will not be liable for any damage caused whatsoever to vehicles, animals, trailers, lorries, individuals, etc., whilst the hirer is using their facilities.
Save for death or personal injury caused by negligence, Castle Copse equestrian nor its landowners or employees does not accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to hirers, riders, horses, owners, spectators, property, vehicles and their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever during their attendance at the premises in connection with the usage of any of the equestrian facilities. Riding, working with horses and handling horses can be dangerous and horses may be unpredictable. Persons using the facilities do so at their own risk and the proprietor will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss.
Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and should remain in the car park or course area.
It is a condition of entry that the Event organiser, the landowner, or any site/official do not accept liability for accident, loss, damage, injury or illness or for anything that may happen to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other person or their property whatsoever, however caused.
By completing this booking, the hirer accepts that they/their trainer or responsible adult (if under 18) has surveyed the course and the ground conditions and understand that this must be undertaken prior to the use of the facilities
Properly secured hard hats and body protectors must be worn.
Those under 16 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Anyone using the Course must have a member of their group with a mobile telephone in case of emergency and knowledge of first aid is advisable.
Consideration must be given at all times to other horses/riders. i.e. only one horse at a time per fence unless riding as a pair. No overtaking without permission from the other rider.
Third party public liability insurance is recommended.
Please ensure you do not attend if you or anyone in your household has any symptoms of Covid-19.
Castle Copse Equestrian reserves the right to close the facility with no notice and stop any current hire, for reasons including, (but not restricted to): Health and safety, adverse weather conditions, emergency circumstances.
Castle Copse Equestrian has taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of the horse and rider. It is your responsibility to take precautions to prevent accidents
Castle Copse Equestrian reserves the right to remove riders from the facilities and hire money will not be refunded
Castle Copse Equestrian does not accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders or any other persons or property whatsoever.
No rider will be allowed onto the course unless these terms and conditions are accepted.
Please ensure you have your booking confirmation details on you, either printed or accessible on your mobile.
Any bad behaviour or language towards other users or staff will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate suspension or ban.
By submitting an online entry it is understood that riders/entrants have understood and accepted the above terms
