This competition will be run under BD rules. Entries close 7 days before, late entry up to two days before, if space allows, £3.00 extra

Competitions for First Round and Second Round Qualifiers may be combined but must be split for qualification purposes.

First Round Qualification - Numbers to Qualify

The qualifying period for dressage first rounds for each Championship Final is from 1 September the previous year until 30th June in the year of the Championship Final.

Competitor need a presentation score of 58% or over in a Trailblazers First Round to Qualify for the Trailblazers Second Rounds. First round qualification is required at each level to compete at a Second Round at that level.

Qualifying Partnerships

Only qualified partnerships (horse / pony and rider) from a Trailblazers First Round Qualifier are eligible to compete at the Trailblazers Second Round Qualifiers.

Dressage Qualification Card

Once a competitor has qualified at a First Round Qualifier, they may purchase a Dressage Qualification Card from the Venue at which they qualified.

The rider should then send the Dressage Qualification Card to the Trailblazers Show Secretary and will be sent a Second Round Qualification Form.

The rider may compete at as many second round qualifiers as they wish. Once qualified the rider must ensure the show secretary for the event at which they qualified signs the form and then it must be returned to the Trailblazers Show Secretary to register the qualification

Withdrawals/Refunds
  • All competitions are pre-entry only, no refund or transfer is possible after initial close of entries date as published on the schedule.
  • All withdrawals to be made via e-mail please.
  • The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases.
  • For withdrawals before the published closing date refunds of the Entry Cost can be made less £3.00 Admin Fee alternatively, we can offer a free transfer to another event.
  • No refunds or transfers can be made during the late entry period unless we are able to replace it from a wait list. 
  • Please see relevant rule books for additional policies in place for British Dressage, British Show Jumping and British Eventing.
  • Abandonment Policy In the case of abandonment of a competition for any reason we will offer a free transfer towards an alternative competition – or a refund minus a £3.00 admin fee. The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases.

Terms & Conditions
  • All entries and payments to be made online.
  • ALL horses must not be under current investigation for infectious diseases including, for example, Equine Herpes Virus (EHV), Equine Influenza, Strangles.
  • All Horses must not have been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for the neurological form of EHV, Equine Influenza, Strangles or Equine Viral Arteritis. 
  • All activity will be in accordance with the advice from the relevant national body.
  • Please keep your time on site to a minimum, please don’t arrive more than 40 minutes before your test/round/ride time and leave the site as soon as it is safe for your horse to travel.
  • Please park considerately, a safe distance from each other. Current recommendations are 10m apart if there is tying up on both sides of your box; 5m where tying up is on one side, and 3m apart if no tying up is used.
  • HORSES/PONIES MUST NOT BE LEFT TIED UP OUTSIDE UNATTENDED.
  • All competitors will be limited to 4 supporters per horse. No other person(s) should be in attendance.
  • Please do not park in front of or block access to the loading bay.
  • PLEASE PRINT/MAKE YOUR OWN ALLOCATED RIDER NUMBER OR USE YOUR NUMBER DISK. NUMBERS WILL BE ALLOCATED WITH TIMES. THIS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES AND MUST BE EASILY READABLE.
  • NO spectators or filming are allowed in any of the warm up or competition arenas. Please use viewing areas.
  • Warm up time may be limited by numbers allowed in arena to an estimated 30 – 40 minutes.
  • You are expected to ride on your allocated times. If you do not do so, you risk being unable to compete.
  • All scores/results will be published online at the end of the day.
  • DRESSAGE SHEETS - Please email us for a copy or leave an A5 Large Letter Stamped Addressed HARD BACKED Envelope for rosettes or an ordinary SAE for dressage sheets only.
  • PLEASE CLEAR UP ANY DROPPINGS OR HAY IN THE LORRY PARK.
  • Dogs are allowed but MUST be kept on a short lead at all times. No Exceptions.
