BRC Area 14 Qualifier Entries Team Managers: prelim entries must be completed and paid for on the BRC website no later than 5th October 2024.
Entries to be made via the link above and close 20th October 2024 or before if classes fill LIMITED SPACES IN ALL CLASSES. Amendments to entries will be accepted up to 16:00hrs on 24th October.
Changes to declarations must be made to the Entries Secretary prior to riding and also to the Official Steward.
Eligibility for all classes can be found in the current BRC Handbook (page 91 – please note from September 1st 2022 horses may compete in consecutive heights Arena Eventing and Combined Challenge). Eligibility will be taken from the close of pre-entry. All competitors must be a member and be on the BRC Database by midday the Friday before the qualifier. Anyone failing to meet the eligibility criteria will be disqualified and informed by BRC HQ when the results are processed.

Terms & Conditions

Rules and Regulations This competition will run under BRC Rules, anyone in attendance will be bound by the BRC Code of Conduct. It is important that all competitors are aware of the rules relating to this competition – please see the current BRC Handbook and also the BRC Rule Amendments and Changes Document which can be found at the link below: https://www.bhs.org.uk/british-riding-clubs/brc-downloads/brc-handbook/ • The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry. • The organisers ask that horses/ponies must not be tied to their trailers/lorries whilst unattended. • Please observe and respect any signs displayed by Suffolk Equestrian centre. Please clear away and take home any litter or droppings. • Lunging is not permitted. • PARKING is limited & once riders have completed their rounds they are asked to leave the venue as soon as reasonably possible. Please adhere to the parking attendant – we will have to park very closely. Entries All entrants must submit a pre-entry to BRC (fees can be found in the current BRC Handbook) at least 21 days before the date of the qualifier. Pre-entries can be made via the pre-entry website https://brc.bhs.org.uk/login?referral=%2Fselect . Late pre-entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organiser with a late surcharge of £10 per individual and £20 per team (payable to BRC HQ) if space permits. Late entries cannot be guaranteed and so therefore must not be paid for until approval from the organiser has been gained. Once the pre-entry has been made - Entries to be made via myridinglife – https://www.myridinglife.com/eventdetails.aspx?id=484109. If the date of the qualifier is cancelled for any reason and rescheduled within 21 days, the close of pre-entry will remain. If the qualifier is rescheduled for more than 21 days after the original date, entries will re-open. Late entry fees will not be refunded. Eligibility is taken from the Friday before the qualifier, regardless of rescheduling. Pre-entries that cannot attend the new date may be issued a credit note but the Team Manager must inform the office in writing before the cut-off date which the area will be informed of upon rescheduling. Hats All hats must have a visible current BRC/BE/PC PINK hat tag in place before they are worn on the showground, to show that they meet the current safety standards. Horse Events hat tags are not accepted. There will be a trained official available on the day to do this for you if your hat does not currently have one. For any event with cross country riders must NOT have a fixed peak on their hat. For up to date hat rules please see the current BRC Handbook. Body Protectors A body protector is mandatory for this competition, from January 1st 2024 the BETA Level 3 2009 Purple Label will no longer be accepted for riders to use in BRC competitions. It is a rider’s responsibility to ensure they have a body protector with the BETA Level 3 2018 BLUE label The only exception to this is for Exo-Body cages, in which the BETA Level 3 2009 Purple Label will continue to be accepted. Flu Vaccinations & Microchips Your horse must have up to date influenza vaccinations in line with rule G7 in the current BRC Handbook. There is also a checking device on the BRC website. If you are unsure, please call BRC on 02476 840518, or you could contact your area rep / team manager. As of 1 October 2020, it is compulsory for all horses to be microchipped. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure the horse is chipped and it is traceable. DECLARATIONS and PASSPORT PHOTOCOPIES for horses competing in Area Qualifiers should be sent direct by Teams Managers to the BRC Official Steward for this event, Emma Broughton emmabroughton16@icloud.com 07985 653358 by 24th October 2022 with club name as reference. Passports must still travel with the horse to the competition. Numbers to qualify for the championships can be found in the BRC handbook, as per Appendix 10 in the current BRC Handbook
