British Riding Clubs Area 7 Arena Eventing Qualifier, at Dallas Burston Polo Club, Stoneythorpe Estate, Southam, CV47 2DL

Classes for juniors & seniors,  Individuals and teams at each height.  All team members are automatically entered as individuals as well.  Entry fee includes start fee.

All members are most welcome to enter.  We'd love to see you there, and have a go.

The course will consist of a course of show jumps immediately followed by XC fences and will finish with the last fence as a show jump, the joker fence which will be set at a discretionary 10cm higher than the rest of the course.  There will be a maximum of 20 jumping efforts, 9 SJ, 10 XC and the joker SJ fence.

A horse may compete in up to two classes 70 & 80, 80 & 90, 90 & 100 cm as an individual or part of a team.
The time allowed will be based on 70cm – 340mpm, 80cm – 350mpm, 90cm – 360mpm, 100cm - 375mpm.
Every commenced period of 1 second in excess of the optimum time 0.4 penalties. Every commenced period of 1 second in excess of 5 seconds under the optimum time 0.4 penalties.

NO STOPWATCHES ALLOWED. Competitors are NOT allowed to take mobile phones onto the course when competing.

All horses must be microchipped and have valid and up to date influenza vaccinations in accordance with rule G7 of the BRC Rulebook; Must have had a vaccination within 12 months of the competition and not within 7 days of the competition date.  Horses/ponies must be 4 years or older.

A helper for 30 minutes must be provided for each competitor. The rider can also be the helper.  Times will be sorted around your ride times. Please note any special requests on your entry.

ENTRIES CLOSE SATURDAY 21st September  AT MIDDAY, or late fees of £5 per entry will be incurred.

Withdrawals/Refunds

Please talk to a committee member as soon as possible if you need to withdraw.  

As this is a British Riding Clubs event, no refunds are possible once entries have been sent to BRC, unless a replaement is found.

  • It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that they have read the rule book and that both the horse and rider are eligible and comply with the rules. 
  • STOP WATCHES ARE NOT ALLOWED.  Competitors are NOT allowed to take mobile phones onto the course when competing.
  • Hats must have a visible PINK BRC/BE/PC hat tag in place before they are used for warming up or competing.  There will be a trained steward available on the day that will be carrying out hat tagging if your hat does not already have a tag.  Fixed peaks are not permitted in any competition where cross-country is involved.
  • Body protectors are mandatory for any cross-country competition and must meet the requirements of the current rulebook.  A BETA Level 3 blue label 2018 must be worn. If a rider chooses to wear an airbag style body protector it must be worn over a permitted body protector and if activated, must be deflated or removed before continuing. Hybrid Air-jackets are permitted. Riders wearing Exo Body Cage (2000) protectors must inform the secretary at all events.
  • Medical armbands are strongly recommended and must be worn on the arm and filled out with up-to-date information.
  • The use of head cams are strictly prohibited.  This includes use on the head, chest, bridle or any other part of the horse and/or rider.
