Bookings in advance only. You can book using our Secure Online Entry System including on the day.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Fair Oak.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

If you need to change your booking for weather or other reasons then please contact us before your allotted spot so we can try to reschedule.

Please Note: All online bookings are subject to a booking fee charged by EquineAffairs and this is non refundable, where refunds are made any PayPal charges we have incurred unfortunately also cannot be refunded.

ALL HIRE BOOKINGS ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO POSTPONEMENT IF WEATHER OR GROUND CONDITIONS AFFECT THE SAFE USE OF THE COURSE.

TERMS FOR THE HIRE OF FAIR OAK CROSS COUNTRY COURSE AND SHOWJUMPING
1 Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the owners or anyone for whom they are in law responsible neither the owners of Fair Oak, nor any person acting on their behalf, accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders, owners spectators or any other persons or cars and contents or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.
2. The owners of Fair Oak have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone who uses the course. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey the rules set out in this leaflet and British Riding Club and Pony Club Safety Rules. Fair Oak and its owners do not insure the rider, their horse or tack and equipment, users should have in place adequate insurance to cover all eventualities.
3. Hats - BSI Kite marked PAS 015 or VG1 or ASTM F1163 04a (onwards) or SNELL E2001 must be worn at all times when mounted, with the chinstrap fastened. Hats tagged SOLELY with BS EN 1384 are NO LONGER PERMITTED. PLEASE NOTE NO HATS WITH ANY TYPE OF PEAK WILL BE PERMITTED FOR XC
4. Back protectors Back protectors Level 3 (Purple Label) 2009 or Blue Label 2018 must be worn on the Cross Country Course and also when using the show jumps (Due to delayed emergency response times)
5. You cannot use the course unless you are accompanied by an adult who can provide assistance in case of an accident. Horse jumping can be dangerous. The jumps are of a variety of heights and difficulty, do not exceed your abilities, riders should familiarise themselves before jumping. Jumps must only be ridden in the correct direction. Particular care must be taken if the course is damp or wet.
6. Any accident must be reported immediately and a record made in writing together with the names and contact details of any witness before departing
7. Please report immediately any defects or problems with the jumps or if you break any flags or lose a horseshoe.
8. Should you use the showjumps please make sure that there are no cups lying in the grass and that the jumps are up correctly, and please leave them at the same height as they were found with all cups safety stored by the uprights. Please make sure that safety cups on the back spreads are the right way up.
9. NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON THE COURSE AT FAIR OAK.

10. The following (third) parties must have their own current Public Liability (minimum GBP 2,000,000) and Employers’  Liability Insurances (if applicable) in force*, including an indemnity to Fair Oak (as ‘landowner’): -visiting equestrian   coaches/instructors, clinic hosts or trainers – pony clubs, riding clubs, hunt clubs and any other equine groups
11. I confirm that I carry third party liability insurance. I understand I may be called upon to produce evidence of such insurance.

12.Booking online involves the acceptance of these terms, for other bookings you  must report to the house sign a disclaimer before any practice; should  they not have signed a disclaimer then they are not authorised to use the course but should they do so then it is entirely at their own risk and no liability under any circumstances will be accepted by Fair Oak

 


l have read the above terms and l agree to abide by them for this and every time in the future that l use the Fair Oak course. In the case of minors or other individuals or groups i am booking for,  l am authorised to sign on their behalf and agree to make sure that all these rules are abided by them.
