JUDGING:
For the Hunter Trials:
• The person nearest the OPTIMUM TIME in each class will be the winner based on the speed. Watches / stop watches are NOT TO BE WORN in any class.
• Competitors will be eliminated after 3 refusals at one jump, after 4 refusals over whole course. Riders may only continue the course with permission from a Mid Surrey Official/Jump Judge or Steward. • Apart from Class 1 and 2, outside assistance will result in elimination

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. The Pony Club Eventing Rules 2024 will apply. 2. All riders must always wear a hat to the current PC standard when mounted. In the interest of safety, long hair must be secured appropriately in a hairnet. Hair must not obscure the competitor’s number at any time. Back protector to correct PC standard (BETA 2018 Level 3 standard) must be worn for XC. Whips must comply with latest Pony Club rules. The whip must be 'padded. ' The maximum length of the whip is 70cm and must be no less than 45cm. Long hair. The Pony Club Saddlery and Dress rules will be strictly enforced. 3. Entry fee refunded less £5 admin fee before entry closing date. After closing date, entry fee less £5 admin fee only refunded on production of Vet or Doctor’s certificate. 4. The cross-country course may be walked the previous day between 2pm and 4pm, or on the day. Please keep clear of competitors on the course 5. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event nor The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. Competitors who are not members of The Pony Club are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third-party cover. The Mid Surrey Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover you.” 6. In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control 50% of entry fee per competitor will be withheld for administration costs. 7. The Judge's decision is final. Objections to be lodged with the Secretary inwriting within 30 minutes, together with a deposit of £20.00. 8. Number bibs required. Can be purchased for £10 in advance and collected on day. 9. No Stopwatches allowed. 10. No unattended horses to be tied to outside of lorries/ trailers. 11. Medical Armbands – It is the competitor’s responsibility to wear a PC/BE medical armband during the cross-country phase if they have a medical condition that may impact on their care in the case of an emergency. Conditions that are relevant includes serious past injuries/surgery, chronic health problems such as diabetes, long-term medication, and allergies. If in doubt competitors should consult with their own treating physician. Cards must contain the competitor’s details where indicated and must be worn on the competitor’s arm or shoulder in such a way as to be visible at all times. It is not compulsory for competitors without any medical conditions to wear a medical armband providing there is an adult supporter with them. 12. Rosettes can be posted upon receipt of a large, 1st Class stamped addressed envelope. 13. REASONABLE ADJUSTMENT: The Pony Club is committed to ensuring that, wherever possible, members can access all aspects of the Branch and Centre activities we offer. Reasonable Adjustments are any actions that help to reduce the effect of a disability or difficulty. Any requests for Reasonable Adjustment must be made by the closing date of entries.
