Unaffiliated Dressage Rules and Conditions
• To be run in accordance with British Dressage Rules.
• Class sizes will be restricted and entries may close earlier if full.
• Please leave an A5 SAE with the Secretary for return of dressage sheets.
• All horses and ponies must be four years old and over.
• Entries must be received a week prior to the event. Late entries may be taken at the Organiser’s discretion. Late entry fee £2 per class.
• Preliminary tests open to horses and ponies with no more than 10 BD or BE points only.
• All competitors are required to wear headgear that complies with the highest current safety standard.
• Start times will be given on the Thursday prior to the event, between 2pm-5pm only on 01452 702397 or online www.hartpuryequineevents.co.uk
• Hartpury Equine has a number of indoor and outdoor arenas which will be used for these competitions.
• Horses and Ponies MUST NOT be tied to the side of horseboxes or trailers and left unattended – please clear up any mess left by you or your horses in the bins and muck trailers provided
Qualifying Criteria for Unaffiliated Dressage Competitions from 1st September 2024 – 31st March 2025
• Qualification is awarded to the top 2 horse/rider combinations in a class providing they have achieved a score of 66% or more.
• Restrictions for horses that are or have been registered to British Dressage –
o Introductory qualification: Not to be registered with British Dressage at time of qualification.
o Preliminary qualification: Not to have won more than 20 BD points at Novice or above at time of qualification.
o Novice qualification: Not to have won more than 20 BD points at Elementary or above at time of qualification
o Elementary qualification: Not to have won more than 20 BD points at Medium or above at time of qualification
• In the event that you have gained qualification in more than one different section you may take your place in a MAXIMUM of two of the Championship Classes.
• Winning combinations of championship classes in 2024 will not be eligible to compete in the same or a lower-level championship class in 2025.
• Entries must be received by Wednesday the 15th of May 2025.
Note: Qualifying cards should be given or e-mailed to competitors who gain qualification on the day of competition.
