The Side Saddle Association Area 5 Concours d'Elegance online competition, in celebration of the SSA 50th Anniversary.
Start your video with you and your horse at halt, introducing yourselves, the class you are entering and your SSA area if you are a member.
Next get your videographer to film you both from all sides: front, back and both sides. If there is any details in your costume, that you wish to highlight, you can zoom in on it to show off to the judge.
Included with your video should be a resume/ story/ description of your costume or habit. This can be spoken on the video or be provided in written form.
Your ridden show should be no longer than 3 minutes, starting and finishing with a halt and salute. There are no set movements for your show.
There are 5 sections you can enter:
1) in hand
2) side saddle - walk and trot
3) astride - walk and trot
4) side saddle - walk, trot and canter
5) astride - walk, trot and canter
