Starting Times:
30 minute or 1 hourly slots are available between 8am - 9.00pm. Important: There are no floodlights. Please book for daylight hours ONLY!
NOTE: It doesn't matter what time you turn up within your slot, however you must have left the arena by the end of your slot.
Individuals:
£18 per half hour slot for one horse and rider. If the same horse and rider wants to book the next consecutive half hour this will cost them an extra £10. Discounts can be applied on the final booking page before payment. This will be checked!
Group & Hourly Slot bookings:
Hourly slots are £28 for 1 horse and any additional horses within the hour £8 each.

Payment Details & Event Fees
Bookings in advance only. You can book using our Secure Online Entry System:
Payment is secure and it goes directly Mendip Plains EC.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.
Individuals:
Individual half hour slots - £18 per half hour - one horse only Groups and hourly slots - £28 per hour for one horse, any additional horses £8 per horse (maximum 6 horses)
A £8 Discount can be applied on the final booking page before payment.

Horse riding is a dangerous sport and you participate at MPEC at your own risk and without any reliance on MPEC, its owners, servants or agents for the safety of yourself or your property. Due care has been taken to maintain the facilities in a safe condition, but riders must observe and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
Terms and conditions for MPEC’s use of facilities and competitions:
1. The organizers reserve the right to cancel or amend any competitions or classes in any way.
2. Properly fitting riding hats, meeting current British safety standards from time to time in force as set out by the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) must be worn at all times by anyone whether or not a participant or competitor, riding from or anywhere at the Mendip Plains EC site. For cross country riding your hat must not have a fixed peak.
3. Body protectors meeting current British safety standards from time to time in force as set out and approved by BETA are mandatory for Cross Country and whenever else a body protector is required to be worn by MPEC.
4. For affiliated competitions it is the responsibility of the rider to ensure that their riding hat, body protector and any other equipment meets the current safety standards as required for entry.
5. No one is to ride alone on any of the facilities at Mendip Plains. You must be accompanied by another horse and rider and/or someone on the ground.
6. For all competitions, the Judges decision is final. At all times, all competitors and other visitors to MPEC must adhere to all instructions provided by stewards.
7. All persons under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
8. All rubbish must be disposed of in the bins provided. Lorries/ trailers are not to be skipped out onto the car park.
9. No horse/pony is to be left unattended unless secured in a lorry or trailer attached to a vehicle.
10. Dogs are welcome on site but must be kept on a lead at all times. Waste is to be picked up.
11. At MPEC no smoking is permitted inside any of the buildings.
12. Rules must be adhered to and any facilities that are damaged or seen to be damaged must be reported to the office and paid for.
13. All accidents must be reported and an accident report completed at the MPEC office.
14. MPEC reserves the right to remove persons from the facilities if they are found to be in breach of the above terms and conditions.

Health and Safety
MPEC has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and obey the instructions of the organizers and all other officials and stewards at all times.
LIMIT OF LEGAL LIABILITY
Competitors enter and compete at MPEC at their own sole risk and (save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of MPEC its owners, servants or agents) they agree not to claim damages or any other remedy for injury, loss or damage caused to or suffered by any person, horse or pony or any other property including vehicles in connection with or arising from any activity at MPEC whether or not the said injury, loss or damage is caused by the negligence of the owners or any other person or thing on the MPEC land.
