Close of Entries: 9am on Tuesday 5th December 2023 – No entries will be taken on the day

Team Competition
Branches/Centres may enter a team of three or four in the Dressage Area qualifying competitions. The four can compete at different levels or all at the same level or a mixture of the two. The team must comprise of at least three members (i.e.one member may ride two horses) and the top three scores to count. The winning Branch/Centre team at each Area competition will qualify for the Spring Festival. If any of the individual qualifiers are in a qualifying team their place will be passed down the line.

You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment. Please check your email to confirm payment was successful.

Rosettes: 1st – 8th in all classes

Withdrawals/Refunds
Withdrawals: In the unfortunate event of a withdrawal please alert the secretary by 9am on Tuesday 5th December 2023– we regret no refunds or transfers will be made after the close of entries, this rule will be strictly adhered to.

Terms & Conditions
Numbers to Qualify:
Novice: the first four in each section and any tying for these places qualify for the final.
Intermediate:
Number of competitors in the section Number of competitors to qualify (plus any typing for these places) 0 - 14 4 15 - 25 5 25+ 6
Open:
Number of competitors in the section Number of competitors to qualify (plus any tying for these places) 0 - 5 4 6 - 9 5 10+ 6

Area Qualifier Rules:
Non-Pony Club members who qualified at a Preliminary Round must become fully paid up members to compete at an Area Qualifier. All members must attend their own Area Qualifier, no exemptions will be given. Substitutions of horse/pony or rider WILL NOT be accepted at Area Qualifiers If there are 30 competitors or less the section will be held in one arena. If there are more than 30 competitors, the section may be split into two arenas.

Passing Down the Qualification:
On the Day – If a competitor is unable to go to the final then the qualifying places will be passed down the line. Please ensure every competitor confirms to the organiser/steward that they are intending to enter the final. After the Area Qualifier – If a competitor is unable to go to the final, they musty notify The Pony Club Office as soon as possible so that their qualifying place can be passed down the line. This will only be done up until five days prior to the final.

Saddlery & Dress:
At Area Competitions and the Championships, The Pony Club Saddlery and Dress Rules apply.

Commanders:
Commanders are NOT permitted at Area Competitions or the Championships.

Substitutions:
Substitutions of horse/pony or rider WILL NOT be accepted at Area Competitions or at the Championships.

Important Information:
Multiple Horses – competitors may ride a maximum of three horses at the Area Competition and two horses at the Championships in any one class. In the event of a rider qualifying more than two horses for the Championships, they must nominate which two they will take at the Area Competition. The other qualifying place will be passed down the line.

Multiple Riders – horses may only be ridden by one rider at Area Competitions and the Championships.

Multiple Levels – subject to eligibility, riders may qualify for both the Novice and Intermediate Championships OR the Intermediate and Open Championships but cannot ride the same horse at both levels. If a combination qualifies for more than one level for the Championships (either as part of a team or as an individual), they must take the higher level forward, i.e., if they qualify for both the Novice and Intermediate Championships, they must take the Intermediate place and pass the Novice place down the line. This rule also stands if a combination qualifies as part of a team at one level and as an individual at another level, they must only compete at the Championships in the higher level All classes to be run under

SRC General Rules
HATS must be worn whenever mounted and up to the current safety standard. ONLY Jockey skull hats without a peak (greater than 5mm smooth and rounded in nature) may be worn for cross country. Hat silks may be worn with flexible peak. It must also comply with safety standards for hats. BODY PROTECTORS A body protector is obligatory for all arena eventing and cross-country events and are also strongly recommended for all show jumping events. Body protectors should be fitted and worn as per the manufacturer’s instructions. If a rider chooses to wear an airbag style body protector it must be worn over a permitted body protector and if activated, must be deflated or removed before continuing. Hybrid Air jackets and Helite Air Jackets are permitted. It is recommended that body protectors are replaced once they are more than 5 years old. Riders wearing Exo Body Cage protectors must inform the secretary at all events. CORRECT dress & footwear with defined heels must be worn. ALL horses and ponies must be four years old and over. ALL Riders to be 4 years old and over. ENTRIES accepted at rider’s risk. SRC reserve the right to refuse an entry at their discretion, cancel, amend or amalgamate any class for any reason whatsoever. The Judge’s decision is final. INSURANCE Each competitor must carry their own liability insurance whether Riding Club, Pony Club, BHS, BS, BD, BE or independent cover.

HEALTH & SAFETY The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards. Those attending this event must report any accidents to the secretary or organizer of the event Please do not leave unattended horses tied to lorries and no hay nets to be tied to the outside of lorries or trailers. Solihull Riding Club welcomes responsible dog owners. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

COVID-19 precautions
You must not attend site if you, or any of those travelling with you, or anyone from your household is exhibiting any symptoms of being unwell. Government guidelines could change quickly at any time; therefore Solihull Riding Club reserve the right to close site at short notice.
