Show Information
Close of Entries: 9am on Tuesday 5th December 2023 – No entries will be taken on the day
All classes will be judged under BS Table A7 unless there is equality for qualifying places then a jump off will decide. If minor non-qualifying places are needed, then time in the first round will decide.
All classes at Area Competitions are to be built to maximum height and dimensions. All dimensions apply to the first round of each competition, the jump off will be higher.
All members must attend their own Area Qualifier, no exemptions will be given. For each Championship class, competitors may qualify a maximum of three horses/ponies.

Payment is secure and it goes directly to Solihull Riding Club.
You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.

Withdrawals/Refunds
Withdrawals: In the unfortunate event of a withdrawal please alert the secretary by 9am on Tuesday 5th December 2023 – we regret no refunds or transfers will be made after the close of entries, this rule will be strictly adhered to.

Terms & Conditions
Rules:
Area Competitions – will be run in accordance with The Pony Club Show Jumping 2023 Rule Book and The Pony Club Spring Festival Show Jumping 2024 Rules.
Whip Use – in all Pony Club Show Jumping, excessive use of the whip, including repeated slapping down the shoulder, is prohibited. The rules state that the whip may be used a maximum of three times during any round. Use of the whip will be monitored, especially at the Championships, and excessive use may result in elimination at the discretion of the judges.
Saddlery & Dress – at Area Competitions and the Finals, The Pony Club Saddlery and Dress Rules Apply.
Important Information
A combination of horse/pony and rider CAN qualify for both the PC80 Championships and PC90 Spring Festival Championships in the same year but CANNOT also qualify for the PC110 Grand Prix Championships. Riders CANNOT compete at the PC80 Spring Festival Area Competition and the PC110 Grand Prix Area Competition in the same year.
Riders CAN compete at the PC90 Area Competition and the PC110 Grand Prix Area Competition. Any combination of horse/pony and rider who qualify for both the PC90 Championship and PC110 Grand Prix Championship in the same year must nominate which class they wish to compete in on the day they qualify so that the qualification can be passed down the line. Riders can ride in both Championships if they have qualified on different horses.

SRC General Rules
HATS must be worn whenever mounted and conform to PAS015 (2011). VG01.040 2014-12. with a BSI Kite mark or Inspec IC mark ASTM F1163.2004a onwards with SEI mark SNELL 2016 (No additional mark required) ONLY Jockey skull hats without a peak (greater than 5mm smooth and rounded in nature) may be worn for cross country. Hat silks may be worn with flexible peak. It must also comply with the above safety standards for hats. BODY PROTECTORS A body protector is obligatory for all arena eventing and cross-country events and are also strongly recommended for all show jumping events. A BETA Level 3 2009 (purple label) or 2018 (blue label) must be worn. Body protectors should be fitted and worn as per the manufacturer’s instructions. If a rider chooses to wear an airbag style body protector it must be worn over a permitted body protector and if activated, must be deflated or removed before continuing. Hybrid Air jackets and Helite Air Jackets are permitted. It is recommended that body protectors are replaced once they are more than 5 years old. Riders wearing Exo Body Cage protectors must inform the secretary at all events. CORRECT dress & footwear with defined heels must be worn. Long hair is to be suitably tied up. ALL horses and ponies must be five years old and over.

ENTRIES accepted at rider’s risk. SRC reserve the right to refuse an entry at their discretion, cancel, amend or amalgamate any class for any reason whatsoever. The Judge’s decision is final.

INSURANCE Each competitor must carry their own liability insurance whether Riding Club, Pony Club, BHS, BS, BD, BE or independent cover.

HEALTH & SAFETY The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards. Those attending this event must report any accidents to the secretary or organizer of the event. Please do not leave unattended horses tied to lorries and no hay nets to be tied to the outside of lorries or trailers. Solihull Riding Club welcomes responsible dog owners. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
