This is the final leg of the HOYS Wild Card series and the final leg of the International Stairway Points League.
The winner of the International Stairway League will be the highest placed horse/rider combination, taking
into account Stairway points awarded from the result of this final competition. In the event of equality of
league points, the highest placed competitor on equal points in this final competition will be the winner of
the league. To be crowned the winner of the International Stairway League combinations must have started
in this final leg.
The winner of the British Showjumping International Stairway League will receive the British
Showjumping International Stairway Trophy.

Class to be judged on the presentation and jumping technique of the horse as well as accuracy. Points will be awarded by the judges on both presentation and jumping technique.
Presentation: The horse should maintain an even, well-balanced canter throughout the whole course. It should not be interrupted when approaching the fences, the rider being able to control each stride. The following will be observed: an even speed, responsiveness to the rider, flexibility.
Jumping Technique: The horse should not pull, but be easy to ride and careful. It should have a good style, it should bascule and should use the back well, with an effort that is appropriate to the height of the fence. The horse’s leg technique will also be taken into consideration.
Points awarded for presentation and jumping technique will be added together and the horse with the highest score will win the class. In the event of equality there will be no jump-off.
Arena Walk
There will be an arena walk offered to all combinations entered into the National 4 year old final. This will take place 20 minutes before the start of the class.

Riders who have ever competed as a team member of a Senior International Team (4* or 5* Nations Cup in the last ten years, World & European Championships and Olympic Games are not eligible), Pony Riders, Children, Juniors and Young Riders who have ever competed in Nations Cup/International Team Events and European Championships in the last five years (including Veteran Teams) are also not eligible.
A rider or horse may only represent one team.
The rider of Horse D will be the Team Captain who, with their British Showjumping Area Representative, will select the team.
In each team, the best three scores will count. In the event of a jump-off only the rider of Horse C or Horse D may be elected to jump-off.
In the final one horse may be substituted if unfit to compete (Veterinary Certificate required). Should the rider of the withdrawn horse fail to find a replacement horse, the rider/horse combination may be substituted. One other rider/horse combination may be substituted but only with the permission of the rider to be substituted.
There will be a briefing of Chefs d’Equipe by the judges 30 minutes before the start of the class. Notes for the commentator on the teams should be handed over at this briefing.

Should different height ponies be in the jump off, the jump off will be single fences and different height ponies will be mixed and re drawn for the order of starting.

EQUINE INFLUENZA VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
Flu vaccinations are mandatory for all registered horses and ponies, and they must be in possession of a valid flu vaccination certificate. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure that the horse's vaccinations are up to date and correctly recorded on the diagrammatic vaccination record. Spot checks will be regularly carried out at the show. The horse/pony must have received two injections for primary vaccination against equine influenza given no less than 21 days and no more than 92 days apart. Only these two injections need to have been given before a horse/pony can compete in competitions. In addition, a first booster injection must be given no less than 150 days and no more than 215 days after the second injection of the primary vaccination. Subsequently, booster injections must be given at intervals of not more than one year apart. Horses/Ponies must have received the full course of vaccinations or the booster at least 7 days prior to the competition date, and not more than 1 year after the previous booster.

PLEASE NOTE: That whilst every effort has been made to allow competitors to enter as many classes as possible, classes will not be held up in the event of a clash so competitors must be aware of this when choosing which classes to enter.
ARRIVAL AT THE SHOW
The gates to enter the show will only be open during the following times:

SHOW ADMISSION
Admission to the British Showjumping National Championships is free of charge. Public car parking will be available on site at Stoneleigh Park, entrance via the Main gate, please follow signage to designated parking area.
PARKING
No caravans or mobile homes will be admitted to the showground or tents sited on the showground without a valid camping pass. Cars towing caravans must be parked in the caravan area.

STABLES ARE BOOKED FROM 17.00 ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL (15:00 on MONDAY 31st JULY) UNTIL 16:00 ON THE DAY OF DEPARTURE
A deposit of £20 per stable is required, payable by cash or card to the Stable Managers on arrival. This will be refunded on departure following inspection by the Stable Managers to ensure the stable has been left mucked out, clean, tidy, with beds banked up and in good repair. If paid by card refunds can only be issued back to the payment card.
Horses and ponies must be removed from their stables by this time, which must be strictly adhered to. Grandstand Media Ltd. reserves the right to charge the daily rate for that stable and/or additional fines imposed by Grandstand Media Ltd. to any person failing to remove their horse/pony from any stable by the designated time, it further reserves the right to deduct such charge from any prize money due and entries may be refused for future shows.
Vacated stables must be left in the state they are found. Any stables left in an unsatisfactory condition will incur a charge. No permanent stables are available.
PLEASE NOTE. ALL STABLES MUST BE VACATED BY: 16:00 SUNDAY 6TH AUGUST.
Stabling is available subject to capacity. Applications must be made online or using the appropriate paper form and fees paid in full. The final date for application is 24th July 2023 Stables are sold on a first come, first served basis.
If stallion stables are required, please indicate in the Stallion Box section on your application.
Emergency Contact Stable Card (ECSC)
ECSCs must be obtained from the Stable Manager’s Office upon arrival at the Show. It is the responsibility of the owner/competitor to complete the card in full and affix to their horse’s stable door for the duration of their stay at the show.
While every reasonable effort will be made to contact the owner/competitor of the animal, if unsuccessful, the Veterinary Surgeon will treat the animal as they find necessary.
Reception or Removal
Horses or ponies for which stable accommodation has been reserved will be received at the Show on or after (and not before) 15:00 on Monday 31st July 2023.
Horses and ponies will not be admitted prior to this time. All horses and ponies, upon arrival at the Show, will be subject to the rules and regulations of the Show. All animals must be removed from the showground by 21:00 on Sunday 6th August 2023.
Bedding and Forage
Bedding will not be provided. A limited amount of the following may be purchased at the time of entry and from the Stable Managers Office. Available on a first come first served basis.

Cancellation/Changes of Stabling
There will be NO REFUNDS for stabling and no changes/transfers of any booked stables.
LIVED-IN HORSEBOXES
Bookings are subject to availability ONLY. Passes for lived in horseboxes will be posted to competitors before the show. If you require an additional horsebox pass, please email entries@grandstand.co.uk. Additional passes are not guaranteed and will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis dependent on availability. Under no circumstances will a lived-in horsebox space be reserved for a competitor unless the official entry form or online entry has been completed correctly by 24th July 2023.
ON ARRIVAL AT THE SHOW
On arrival at the show, if applicable competitors should report to the Stable Manager's Office where their stable booking will be confirmed.
Please note that competitors with horses and/or ponies arriving at NAEC Stoneleigh Park will not be admitted between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 (Gates will be open until 21:00 on Monday 31st July)
Due to FIRE REGULATIONS and the licence issued by Warwick District Council, the following will be strictly enforced:
a. All lived-in horseboxes will be sited by Grandstand Media Ltd. personnel at the required distance and should not be moved before leaving the showground.
b. All competitors/grooms living in horseboxes must ensure that they know the location of the nearest fire point and fire-fighting equipment.
c. All vehicles must be equipped with a fire extinguisher.
d. Cars which are not towing a horse trailer, caravans and motor homes are not permitted in the Horsebox Park.
e. All caravans and motor homes must be parked in the official campsite area, which must be pre-booked before arrival.
CAMP SITE
Camping facilities are available on site. These can be booked at the time of making your entry. Pitches are available from 15:00 on Monday 31st July. All pitches must be vacated by 21:00 on Sunday 6th August.

LIVED-IN HORSEBOXES WITH PORTALOOS
Occupants of lived-in horseboxes with their own toilet facilities may not empty them on the showground. Anyone found to be emptying Portaloos or similar at NAEC Stoneleigh Park will be removed from site and liable to any charges imposed by the organisers. There are a number of permanent toilet blocks around the site.

Please note, any items left within the stabling area and horsebox park are left at the owner’s own risk. Grandstand Media Ltd. will not be held responsible for any items left unattended.
Unauthorised use of stables
Any competitor or his/her representative who enters or makes use of any stable that has not been officially reserved for his/her use will be liable for the daily charge for that stable and/or additional fines imposed by Grandstand Media Ltd. We reserve the right to deduct any charges from any prize money due and entries may be refused for future shows.
Smoking and Fire Risks
• No smoking will be permitted in or near the stable area
• No hay may be stored under or near to any vehicle in the Horsebox Park at any time but may be stored inside the horsebox.
• Additional containers containing flammable liquids/gases are not permitted to be stored outside of lorries or caravans.
• The use or possession of barbeques of any type will not be permitted at any time in the Horsebox Park or elsewhere on the showground.
IF FOUND, ANY OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED ARTICLES WILL BE CONFISCATED AND REMOVED BY THE STABLE TEAM.
Electrical Hook-Up
Optional electrical hook-up is available to be purchased at the time of making an entry. No vehicle will be connected to the power supply that does not display a valid pass. There is no charge to park any horseboxes that are not connected to the electrical hook-up.

CUPS AND TROPHIES
All winners of first and second prizes must compete for such Championships, Challenge Cups or Trophies for which they are eligible as it may be required by the Special Conditions applicable to the competitions in which they have competed: in default of so doing, competition prizes will be forfeited, at the Organiser’s discretion.
Competitors who become winners of Challenge Cups or Trophies at the Show must give security to British Showjumping and Grandstand Media Ltd that the Cups will be forthcoming and delivered to the British Showjumping office in good and proper condition, whole, undamaged and un-defaced on or before 30th June 2024 and if required to do so, will execute or procure the execution of a bond to this effect to the satisfaction of the Organisers.
Competitors who become winners of Challenge Cups or Trophies at the British Showjumping National Championships report to the Equestrian Office where a Prize Card must be completed before cups can be collected. Trophies that are not collected during the show may be collected afterwards from the offices at Grandstand Media Ltd., provided prior arrangements have been made. The Organisers will not undertake to forward trophies by post or carriers after the Show to prize winners. Overseas competitors will not be allowed to remove any Cup(s) from Great Britain.
Please note that due to their value, some trophies will not be able to be taken away from the showground and will only be available for the presentation.
RUGS AND SASHES
Winners of all British Showjumping Championship Finals will receive a Champions Rug and Champions Sash.
PRIZE MONEY
Prize money will be paid out in the form of a cheque.
There will be NO REFUNDS for stabling and no changes/transfers of any booked stables.
