This competition takes place over 10 fences which are progressively more difficult. Heights range from 80 to 90cm. Points are awarded as follows: One point for fence No.1 Two points for fence 2 Three points for fence 3 etc No points awarded for fences knocked down, refusals are converted to points and deducted from the final points score. Competition is against the clock, equality of points divided by time. Last fence has the alternative of a joker which will be 5 cm higher than the alternative and carries double points. If the joker is knocked down the points are deducted from final score

Horse & Hound

Info:
Competitor jumps a short course over 6 fences against the clock. Either dismounts in a designated area and / or a runner leads a dog over a series of obstacles. Time added of 4 seconds for a knockdown or refusal, horse and rider only. Winner decided by total time.
Class 10
2 Fence Challenge (0.75m)

Info:
To be jumped over a maximum of 5 rounds. When the competitor has a fault, they leave the arena. There will be a non-counting practice first fence which is optional before jumping the scoring fences. Competition ends when all competitors have either faulted or at the end of the fifth round. Winner is the competitor with no or least faults. Equal faults means equal placings so prize money will be divided equally. Starting height 75cm

Terms & Conditions
Rules i) All classes will be judged under British Show Jumping rules ii) All competitors must comply with current safety regulations and dress code iii) The judge’s decision is final. Any objection should be lodged with the Show Jumping organiser within 1 hour of the incident occurring in writing with a £50 deposit. Should the accusation be found to be incorrect the deposit will be forfeited. iv) We would respectfully ask that correct Collecting Ring etiquette is adhered to and please jump only in the direction indicated with the red flag on the right. v) For safety reasons we would only expect the next 10 competitors to be in the warm-up area vi) In the event of a time clash, the Main Ring classes will take priority vii) The Society reserves the right to withhold prize money in the event of insufficient entries. Any competitor who is eliminated or retires from the first round of the competition is not eligible to receive prize money in that competition: a. Up to five starters 1st prize b. Up to 10 starters 1st & 2nd prizes c. 15 or more starters 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes viii) A junior competitor will not have achieved their 16th birthday by 1st January 2023.
