To be judged in Ring 1 on completion of all BSPS classes

Open to all BSPS Area 11 members UNDER 25 YEARS OLD

The champion will qualify for “Black Country Saddles” Area Best Rider Championship

BSPS AREA 11 MINI MEMBERS SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP

To be judged in Ring 1 on completion of all BSPS classes

JUDGE: TBC on Show day

Open to all BSPS Area 11 members who have received a Best Member Rosette

 in any LEAD REIN or FIRST RIDDEN (Show Pony, SHP or M&M) BSPS class on the day

SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP

To be judged in Ring 1 on completion of all classes

JUDGE: TBC on Show day

Open to the champion and reserve from all sections

RIHS qualifiers for: SP, INT SRT & SHT, LR SHP, SHP, SP, SP LR & FR,

Heritage, PBA & Pretty Polly.

Also qualifiers for:

 * BSPS Blue Riband Pony of the Year *

* The Bryony Gribbin Supreme ‘Pretty Polly’ Ridden Championship *

* The BSPS ‘Best of the Best’ Area Supreme Championship *

* The BSPS “Black Country Saddles” Area Best Rider Championship *

* UK Ponies & Horses RIHS Young Riders M&M Ridden & Amateur Riders M&M Finals *

 All entries must be paid in full when entering. NO ENTRY FEE WILL BE REFUNDED.

All current Covid-19 guidelines MUST be adhered to & this show will be run using The Showing Council Blueprint
Vehicles are not allowed on the showground before 6am
Competitors MUST abide by the parking stewards instructions. Anyone failing to comply will be asked to leave the showground, with no entry feed refunded.
Would all persons please be vigilant regarding Health and Safety - Horses and pedestrians must keep to their designated walkways

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

This show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS classes, whether members of the BSPS are subject to the constitution and rules of the BSPS including the disciplinary procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS.

1. The Committee does not accept responsibility for any loss, damage, injury to any person, animal or property at the show.

2. Mounted exhibitors must adhere to horse walkways and riding in areas.

3. All dogs to be kept on leads at all times.

4. All entries must be paid in full when entering. NO ENTRY FEE WILL BE REFUNDED.

5. All prize money to be collected from the Secretary's office on the day of show.

6. This show is run with due regard to Health and Safety. Everyone in attendance must abide by the instructions given by officials.

7. Correctly secure riding hats/skull caps Nos. A11 PAS015, VG1, ASTM F1163 04a onwards. SNELL E2001, AS/NZS 3838 2003 onwards MUST be worn by riders at all times when mounted.

8. No clearing out of horseboxes allowed on the showground and please take your litter home.

9 GDPR – Details of entries will only be retained for a period deemed necessary. Then they will be destroyed. Further information can be obtained from BSPS Head office.

This show is a qualifier for the Royal International Horse Show.  The highest placed pony not already qualified from the first three ponies in RIHS classes will qualify. Please see rule 20 & 522 in the 2022 BSPS Rule Book. Owners and riders must be BSPS members before the date of the show to compete in classes with qualifications for the RIHS and animals must be registered with the BSPS except for Anglo & PB Arabs who must be registered with the AHS. N.B. THE R.I.H.S. QUALIFICATION IS SUBJECT TO CONFIRMATION FROM B.S.P.S. HEAD OFFICE.

THE ‘BRYONY GRIBBIN’ SUPREME PRETTY POLLY RIDDEN CHAMPIONSHIP

The Final to be held at the NORTH OF ENGLAND SUMMER SHOW on 25^th June 2022 Kindly sponsored by ‘The Gribbin Family’

PRIZE MONEY (at the Final) 1^st - £1000, 2^nd - £400, 3^rd - £100, 4^th - £50, 5^th - £25, 6^th - £25, 7^th - £25, 8^th - £25.

THE PRETTY POLLY CHAMPION will qualify

If the Champion has already qualified then the Reserve Champion will go forward. Only the Champion or Reserve Champion will qualify. Exhibitors who qualify for the final will be sent details directly from: The Secretary, North of England Summer Show, Blue Slate Stables, Showley Rd., Clayton-le-Dale, Lancs, BB1 9DP

BSPS Blue Riband Pony of the Year - the 1st & 2nd placed ponies in the following classes: Open RIHS Lead Rein and First Ridden, Open RIHS Show Pony Classes, Open RIHS Show Hunter Pony Classes and Open RIHS Intermediate classes. Owners and riders must be BSPS members before the date of the show to compete in classes with qualifications for the Blue Riband and animals must be registered with the BSPS.

BSPS Binks Family Champion of Champions – The first prize winner in classes - Open Lead Rein, Open First Ridden, Open Lead Rein of Hunter Type, Open Show Pony, SHP, Intermediate SRT, SH and Open Heritage Lead Rein, First Ridden, Ridden

BSPS Classic Services Group Challenge - This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Classic Services Group Challenge. All animals competing in the Open BSPS classes will qualify.

BSPS Best Rider - This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Black Country Saddles Best rider of the Year. The Best rider in Open Lead Rein, First Ridden, Open LRHT, Show Pony, SHP, Intermediate SRT & SHT, Open Heritage Lead Rein, First Ridden, and the best rider 25 years and under in the Heritage Ridden classes will receive a card and qualify for the final at the BSPS Summer Championship show. All Area Members who receive a card, are eligible for the championship in ring 2.

RIDERS OF STALLIONS

Riders must be 12 years or over on 1^st January in the current year to ride any stallions not exceeding 138cms, or Small breed M&M Stallions.

Riders must be 14 years or over on 1^st January in the current year to ride any stallions exceeding 138cms, or Large breed M&M Stallions.

2022 RIHS UK PONIES & HORSES YOUNG RIDERS M&M RIDDEN & P(UK) RIHS AMATEUR RIDERS M&M FINALS

Owners must be Adult /Life Members, Riders must be current UKPH Annual Members and the ponies currently registered with UKPH before the time of entry in order to compete in these classes.

Open to Mountain and Moorland Ridden Stallion  (Intermediate class only), Mare or Gelding, four years old and over, registered in their approved Pure Breed Society Stud Books of Connemara, Dartmouth, Exmoor, Dale, Fells, Highland, New Forest, Shetland,  Welsh A, B,C or D.

The highest placed exhibit not already qualified within the first five will qualify for the UK Ponies & Horses RIHS Young Riders M & M Ridden. The highest placed pony and rider not already qualified within the first five will qualify for the UK Ponies and Horses RIHS Amateur M & M Finals at the RIHS Hickstead in July 2022.

Qualification will be verified by the office.

This show is affiliated to UK Ponies and Horses.  1st, 2nd and 3rd placed competitors in the relevant classes will qualify for the UKPH Summer Classic to be held on the 15th and 16th of August 2022 at Onley Grounds Equestrian Centre. Competitors do not have to be a member of the Association to compete at the championships.
