Show Information

PLEASE READ - we have made the commentator notes compulsory for the Area Festival as - to add to the atmosphere of this special event - we would like to have our commentator say a few words about each rider and horse as they ride around the outside of the arena.  Your notes can be as simple as how long you have owned your horse and whether this is your first Area Festival at this level etc.  If you do not want to add any notes, please write n/a in this section

All times posted on the Brook Farm website 3 days prior to the Friday of the show.

No lungeing. 

Dogs on leads. 

Tests and warm-up in outdoor arena.

Payment Details & Event Fees

 Entries in advance please via the 'online entries' tab on the Brook Farm website.

Late entries are accepted (if there is space) at £2 extra per class - please note that BD have advised our entries must close at midnight on Sunday, 17th July 

Prize Information

£50, £35, £20 prize money to be awarded.

First place prize money is mandatory regardless of the number of starters, beyond which the prize money scale in the 2022 Members’ Handbook will be used.

Sashes to the winner of each class, and rosettes to those placed 1st - 10th.  The highest placed Under 21 rider in each Summer Area Festival class will be awarded with a commemorative rosette.

Prizegivings will be unmounted, except for the final class of the day where the prizegiving will be MOUNTED.  There will be an opportunity for all of those placed to have a photograph taken on their horse.

Refreshments:
Hot/cold food available in comfortable cafeteria

Withdrawals/Refunds

As per BD rule 62, no refund will be made to those withdrawing after the close of entries.

50% of the total entry fees will be returned to those whose withdrawal is received before the close of entries
