The EquiTest RTYS is a team competition created just for liveries or a group of friends at neighbouring yards. Each team can be made of a minimum of 4 riders and maximum of 6 riders per team each month. You can rotate horses and riders in each team competition and you can share the same horse as well. All team members can ride ANY of the EquiTest series tests, i.e. EquiTest Foundation, Intro, Prelim, Novice, Elementary, Training Tests etc Please specify your TEAM name and chosen test when entering. RESULTS: The 4 highest team scores will determine placings each month. Awards given to all 6 team members. Film your test from C or A or as near as possible. If you arena is slightly misshaped or not quite the correct size then this is not a problem!

Entries are only open until 14th of the championship month. Once you have gained those 15 qualifying points you will then need to enter your championship class. (Entries close the last day of the month) For the Championship classes only EquiTest Level tests can be used (will be specified in schedule) When riding any EquiTest Test to gain qualification then you are allowed to use the same test in the Championship class but you will still need to enter! Virtual Training with your horse - private 30 minute session - Chance to have excellent training to help you and your horse improve. Work on exercises to improve the Scales of Training. Dates and times to be arranged privately. Virtual Training with Claire Marie Senior British Dressage Accredited Coach, Centre 10 APEC Advanced Coach, BD List 2 judge, former GB rider at FEIYR Level. DBS checked and Fully insured with SEIB. You will need someone to film your session and have a good Wi-~Fi / Phone signal in order for this session to take place successfully.
It is a requirement from SEIB that a person over the age of 18yrs is available to issue first aid if it is needed. This session will not be able to take place if this requirement is not met. By booking this session you are accepting full responsibility for your own actions.

Each class you enter will be judged in 2 parts: Part 1 – The EquiTest Dressage Test Judged by a British Dressage Judge marks out of 10 will given for each movement in the test. The scores will be added up and percentages worked out. The highest percentage in the class WINS. If equal placings then the highest collective will determine the winners. Equal Collectives = Equal prizes.
Part 2 – The EquiTest Rider Training & Feedback Sheet This is all about the Rider. Your test is judged by an official EquiTest Listed Judge in a encouraging and helpful way ‘Judging without Judgement’ is our motto! The EquiTest Rider Training & Feedback Sheet includes training feedback and tips! You will be marked out of 10 on elements such as: Correctness of your position Harmony & Positive influence Effectiveness of your aids Partnership between you and your horse Correctly ridden movements & preparation How well you present the test How to improve and gain higher marks A mark of up to 10 will be awarded for each element in Walk, Trot & Canter. Decimal marks can also we awarded i.e. 7.6, 7.9, 8.2 etc

For all our championships each combination will need to gain the qualifying points needed for each of your chosen levels. Points awarded based on your dressage results as follows:- 1st = 10pts, 2nd = 9pts, 3rd = 8pts, 4th = 7pts, 5th = 6pts, 6th = 5pts, All other combinations = 4pts Unused points will be carried over until combinations reach the qualification criteria and are eligible to qualify for each championship. We do allow these points earned to be used over multiple championships but you do eed to declare what you are eligible for on each entry ie Veteran Horse DOB 2001, Mature Rider DOB 1962, Junior Rider 2006 etc
By Entering any of the classes with EquiTest you agree to accept and abide by all Rules and Terms & Conditions set out by EquiTest.co.uk Entry fees will not be refunded once an entry has been accepted. EquiTest reserves the right to refuse an entry without stating a reason. Entries Open: On the 1st Day of each month. Videos of tests must be filmed within the current month of the EquiTest competition. We do not object to you using the same video to enter other classes or online competitions, so you can compare your results across channels. If your video was filmed before this months competition, you can get a second opinion by entering our EquiTest Back In Time Class created specifically for this. Filming of all tests can be from C or A or as near as possible! Any rider of 18 years of age and under must have parental permission to enter. EquiTest take no responsibility for any injury occurred to either horse or rider or any person / animal whilst recording their video entry. You are riding at your own risk. Correct riding attire and appropriate protective wear MUST be worn for each relevant discipline. Copyright laws must be adhered to when submitting any video footage or photographs or printed material. EquiTest will not be liable for any costs incurred as a result of infringement of copyright laws by any competitor.
Rider Dress Code for all EquiTest Classes Protective riding hats must be worn and up to current safety standards with a BSI Kite Mark in addition to the following standards; British – All PAS 015, European – VG1, EN1384 – 2017, American – SEI ASTM F1163 04a onwards and SNELL E2001 and E2016, Australian & New Zealand – AS/NZS 3838 2003 onwards. Must always be correctly fastened whilst mounted. Incorrect headgear will lead to elimination. Suitable footwear designed for riding must be worn for safety reasons. Short riding boots may be worn with gaiters or half chaps of any colour. Fringed gaiters/chaps are allowed. We recommend smart casual attire, but hacking/show jackets are optional. Gloves can be worn. Any colour is allowed. Body protectors may be worn. Spurs and a whip may also be used.
Horse Turnout: No need to plait. Any bit and running martingales are allowed. Side reins, draw reins, or any other similar training aids are forbidden. Bitless bridles are allowed. Neck straps or balancing straps (a loop on the front of the saddle) are permitted for all Classes. Ear covers and fly hoods are allowed but must not cover the horse’s eyes. Nose nets and fly masks are permitted. Any saddle permitted. Boots, bandages, overreach boots allowed Anything you’re not sure about then just ask by emailing the.equitest@gmail.com
Rules of the Competitions: Judges decisions are final. No communication or discussion will be entered into by EQUITEST, any of its representatives or the judge involved. Any objection or appeal regarding a score must be made in writing within 24 hours of the test being judged and be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of £25. Very rarely mistakes may be made with calculating percentages, please ensure we are notified by email within 24 hours of receipt of your test sheet and we will endeavour to rectify any errors. Rosettes will be awarded 1st – 10th place overall for each class. If there are any equal placings then equal prizes will be given. Relevant leader boards will be updated according to sections laid out by EquiTest for Championship purposes. Classes will be split according to number of entries as follows: 50 – 80 entries overall in any one class will be split randomly into 2 groups. 81 – 110 entries overall in any one class will be split randomly into 3 groups. IF classes are split – There will be 1st – 10th rosettes for all groups. There will only be ONE FIRST PRIZE, it will go to the highest score out of all first placed, but you will receive a surprise. League points will be awarded by overall results regardless of which group you’re in for. Subcategories will be awarded their own points league. Results will be issued on the Leader Board and prizes & Test Sheets will be posted within 4 days of Close of Entries. Unfortunately, EquiTest cannot be held responsible for lost postage, lost prizes, or test sheets. No copies of tests are taken – There is an option to have your post sent. Recorded Delivery at an extra cost of £2.75 per package. Otherwise all entries will be sent 1st class Large Letter.
