Fun Finale – TEAM GAME CHALLENGE A fun end to an action-packed weekend (there is NO COST to enter this class). All competitors will be put into teams (to include Minimus to senior members) for a ‘games challenge’. Lines will be set up where each team member will need to negotiate various obstacles to include bending poles, small jumps, filler tunnels and stepping-stones. The team to complete the challenge in the fastest time will win. For those members that did camp last year, this will be similar to the team event held at the end of camp. We are encouraging all members to take part and for people to stay on the showground to cheer on the teams!

Special Classes

Show Jumping Class Rules – Sunday Ring One

Single Phase

The first half of the course is not against the clock, the second half of the course is against the clock, faults count from both halves.

A4 Eraser

This is one round against the clock. Faults count as normal but 4 faults can be “erased” by jumping the more difficult alternative at the last fence.

Box Relay

The first pony/rider combination jump jumps 1-6 of a course, then change over in the box so that the second pony/rider combination jump jumps 7-12 – all against the clock.

Accumulator

The whole round is timed, each fence is worth an increasing number of points. The competitor with the most points in the fastest time wins.

Pony & Hound

The pony/rider combination will jump 6 fences, then dismount and take their hound around an obstacle course including tunnel, bending poles etc – all against the clock.

Jump Swap Jump

This will be a timed competition where two riders ride one pony. Rider 1 jumps e.g. 1-6 then dismounts, Rider 2 mounts same pony and jumps e.g. 7-12. Faults count. Pairings must be deemed safe by the DC. If you are entered throughout the show on 1 pony riders may only enter once. If entered throughout on 2 ponies riders may ride twice.

Topscore

There will be several jumps of differing height each worth different scores. You have 1 minute to score as many points as possible. All jumps can be jumped in both directions. Jumps may only be jumped twice.  There is one set of start/finish flags.

Teams of 3

Each team will jump fences 1-10 then 10-1. Riders may switch as often as they like as long as they hand over a stick to the next rider each time (only one stick per team). Each pony/rider combination must jump at least one fence. Fastest clear team wins.

Jump Off Challenge

Competitors will jump a normal first round of between 8-10 fences. All the clears or the top 5 competitors (those with least faults in the fastest time in the first round) will go into the jump off. The jump off will consist of approximately 8 fences of which only 5 need to be jumped, one of which is compulsory, and one set of start/finish flags. Each competitor is free to make up their own course of 5 fences as long as 1) the compulsory fence is included 2) all jumps are jumped in the correct direction, 3) a total of 5 fences are jumped. Timing will start and finish by going through the same set of flags in either direction.

Jump and Bend (Ring 2)

Riders will negotiate a set of fences and finish with some bending poles.  This will be judged in style over the jumps and through the bending.

Show Jumping Class Rules – Sunday Ring Two

Classes 26 to 30 will be judged on style. Details of other specific class rules are set out above. Any timed sections will be based on an optimum time (except for classes 27(run section), 31(hound section), 35 and 36 which will be against the clock for the timed section).  Lead rein riders may compete in classes 26 to 32.  Classes 26 to 32 may be split into lead rein and off lead rein depending on entries.

Optimum Time

A time will be set, based on a steady canter, for the timed section, the rider/pony combination who gets closest to the time with the least faults will be the winner.
