STYLE JUMPING
Consisting of just five jumps (1 x Double / 1 x 3/4/5 Stride Related Distance / 1 x Dog Leg) riders will be judged on their approach to the fence, take off, in the air, landing and departure from the fence in this easily accessible home based show jumping competition.
Requirements / Rules
Riders will need a minimum of 3 sets of wings and 5 poles for this show jumping challenge (as each required jumping line may be filmed separately if required!)
For the lead rein /assisted section: the jumping lines do not need to include any oxers, with jumps set a maximum of 40cm. The double may be set on either 1 or 2 strides.
For the novice section: a minimum of two oxers and a maximum of three oxers must be included, the double does not have to include an oxer and may be set on either 1 or 2 strides. Minimum height of fences: 40cm / Maximum height of fences: 65cm
For the intermediate section: The dog leg must be set as upright to oxer on any number of strides, the related distance and double must be set as oxer to upright with the double on either 1 or 2 strides. Minimum height of fences: 60cm / Maximum Height of fences: 90cm
For the open section: The dog leg must be set as upright to oxer on any number of strides, the related distance and double must be set as oxer to upright with the double on 1 stride. Minimum height of fences: 90cm / Maximum Height of fences: 120cm.
Every section (except for Lead Rein / Assisted - where trot work must be shown) must show a minimum of 20 metres of canter (not just in a straight line) on each rein at the start of the video.
There is no requirement to complete all of the jumping requirements in one continual video, we appreciate that many riders may have a limited access to jumps and we aim to make the competition accessible for all wanting to get involved!

Judging Judging for the style jumping will be conducted in line with the following guidelines.
Canter Work (Trot for Lead Rein): 10 points Approach to the fence: 20 points Take off: 20 points Position in the air: 20 points Landing: 20 points Riding away from the fence: 20 points Fluency between fences: 20 points Rider effectiveness: 40 points Overall picture: 30 points Total points available: 200 points
In the event of a tie Rider Effectiveness will be used to decide the winner (if possible - if not this will then be decided by Overall Picture followed by Canter Work)
