Terms & Conditions

COVID 19 IMPLICATIONS – At this time due to government restrictions we are only allowed 40 people on site at one time. Classes will therefore be restricted to 15 children. Each child may have ONE helper. There will be a gap after certain heights to allow time for people to leave and new ones to arrive without too much overlap. You may enter whichever classes you like and we will monitor the numbers as entries are made. If you have more than one child doing different heights they may stay when they are not jumping, as that is what the overlap of numbers is for.  Please message jdhpc.dc@gmail.com with queries. Please also understand things may change, we are doing our best to provide an event within the guidelines. Please read below COVID rule

COVID 19 RULES

In order to comply with Pony Club Head Office UK, insurance and Jersey Government (Sports) you must comply with the following rules in addition to our standard rules and conditions. It is important that you read them and follow them or the committee may be obliged to ask you to leave and potentially report you. In addition, there will be a register which must be completed by all those who enter the show ground so that if someone was to contract the virus Public Health can be informed of any potentials at risk.

1.      Entries must be made and paid via My Riding Life. In order to monitor risk, heights entered will be checked and at the discretion of the committee.

2.      Each competitor should only have one helper, preferably from the same household. Please leave non-competing siblings (and dogs) behind.

3.      Please arrive and be tacked up and on 15 minutes before your lesson and be untacked loaded and gone promptly after you finish.

4.      Please use the sanitiser by the entrance gate BEFORE you touch the gate to open/close it.

5.      Please park at a minimum of 5m apart. If parking becomes congested, we will do our best to move things around.

6.      Please tack up and mount at your lorry.

7.      Once mounted please remember to stay 1m apart.

8.      There will be a tack check conducted at a safe distance.  If you are a non-equestrian parent needing help, please let a Committee member know and you will be helped by someone in PPE.

9.      Helpers must watch from a distance of at least 1m from each other and outside the arena.

10.   If we have a faller the first aider will attend to the rider using their mask and gloves. The child’s helper will retrieve the pony and remain at a safe distance.

11.   Please do not go into the arena to help with jumps unless asked and, if asked, please wear gloves.

These Covid guidelines are largely common sense and have been in place for a number of weeks but all present must follow the guidelines. Please use the sanitisers available and keep your distances from each other.
